Jolene de Verges catalogs digital images for the Insight image database. She coordinates campus-wide digital imaging projects involving faculty and their student liaisons, building content in Insight for curricular use; provides Insight user training, and performs collection development for the Smith College digital image collection. She assists with metadata standardization guidelines and authority work for the Imaging Center. Prior to coming to Smith, she coordinated a joint-institutional project to build Bridges to Art, an image database for the College of the Holy Cross and the Worcester Art Museum. Her areas of interest include digitization, data-sharing strategies, and intellectual access to cultural heritage resources. She is a member of the Visual Resources Association and the Art Libraries Society.
