Lynne Yamamoto earned a B.A. from the Evergreen State College and an M.A. from New York University.
Professor Yamamoto teaches 3-D design and installation art. Her recent work includes an installation at the Mattress Factory in Pittsburgh.
She has had one-person shows at the Contemporary Museum in Honolulu; P.S. 1; the Greg Kucera Gallery and George Suyama Architect Space in Seattle; the Whitney Museum of American Art at Altria; Rhode Island School of Design; and the Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute in Utica, New York. Internationally, she has exhibited in Construction in Process in Poland; the Louisiana Museum in Denmark; Leeds Metropolitan University in England; and has had residencies in Ireland and Japan.
