Katy Schneider earned her B.A. from Yale University and M.F.A. from Indiana University.
She is a painter, represented in New York by Tatistcheff and Co. and in Boston by the Pepper Gallery. She is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, Massachusetts Cultural Council Artists Grant, the New England Foundation for the Arts Regional Fellowship, the Blanche Coleman Award, and the American Academy of Arts and Letters Purchase Prize.
Katy Schneider's work deals with the power of light to tell a story. At present, her images are focused on balancing her life as a mother and as an artist.
