Katy Schneider teaches beginning drawing. She is a painter, represented in New York by Tatistcheff and Co. and in Boston by the Pepper Gallery. She is the recipient of a Massachusetts Cultural Council Artists Grant, the New England Foundation for the Arts Regional Fellowship, the Blanche Coleman Award, and the American Academy of Arts and Letters Purchase Prize. Her work deals with the power of light to tell a story. At present, her images are focused on balancing her life as a mother and as an artist.
