Gary Niswonger teaches traditional intaglio techniques, stone lithography, design, and drawing utilizing Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, and Painter. He also conducts small group special-studies projects (ARS 400) involving outdoor painting. His personal visual interests are the reconfigured landscape of human occupation, particularly in contrast to what might be thought natural; painting landscape in oil and gouache; color as subject; and the space and light of immediate experience. He has exhibited both paintings and prints for 30 years in numerous group and solo exhibitions from Northampton to Tokyo.
