Fraser Stables works in photography and video. His artwork utilizes conventions of documentary and performance in order to explore the image/narrative identities that one constructs and assumes. His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries in the US, Canada, and Europe, and he was an artist in residence in the Core Program (MFA, Houston). Stables is co-founder of Atopia Projects, an arts organization that initiates exhibitions and publications <www.atopiaprojects.org>. He has taught photography and digital media classes at Brown University, Rice University, and Glassell School of Art. He is represented by Devin Borden Hiram Butler gallery in Houston.
