Craig Felton offers courses in Italian art (ca. 1250-1550), and painting and sculpture in seventeenth-century Italy, Spain, and France. His publications treat of seventeenth-century Italian and Spanish painting, with an emphasis on Naples. Currently, he is investigating the art and patronage of Catholic Europe (ca. 1550-1650). He has taught at Southern Methodist University, Texas Christian University, and was at the Kimbell Art Museum, where his research led to the first exhibition of paintings by the Hispano-Italian painter, Jusepe de Ribera.
