Application

Deadline: October 1

The Archives Concentration admits a maximum of 15 students each year, usually in the sophomore year. Priority will be given to students who have already completed at least two courses in the concentration. Applications will be reviewed by the Advisory Committee to determine the feasibility of the proposed course of study in the Archives Concentration along with the student's declared major.

The Archives Concentration will be elected by participating students instead of a second major or a minor as an interdisciplinary strategy that enables them to combine coursework beyond the major with practical experiences, and to engage in career exploration. Accepted students will choose (or be assigned to) an adviser who will oversee the progress through the program, approve internships and assist students in defining a senior project.

After Fall 2009, students are expected to have completed one gateway course and one elective prior to application.
