Deerfield, MA
The internship involves working with the institutional papers of Historic Deerfield, a museum of New England history and art, and those of its founder, Henry N. Flynt (1893-1970). The Historic Deerfield archives document a wide range of activities: exhibitions; publications; lectures, workshops, and other public events; the annual summer fellows’ program; operation of the Deerfield Inn and museum store; and governance. Unprocessed papers primarily consist of fliers and announcements; clippings; reports and other printed material; and correspondence. The intern will help arrange and describe the material under the supervision of Historic Deerfield staff, in order to create a finding aid to the collection.
This internship is unpaid.
It can be either this summer or next fall.
