Suzanne Gottschang is a medical anthropologist with research interests in women, health, policy and socio-economic change in China. In addition to her Ph.D. in anthropology, she holds a Masters in Public Health from UCLA.
She teaches courses on rural and urban China, women in East Asia, among others. Her current research focuses on risk and health policy, mobile and e-medicine in China, and Traditional Chinese Veterinary medicine in the US and China.
Gottschang has published in such journals as Medical Anthropology Quarterly and the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine.
