The Crossroads Project at www.georgetown.edu/crossroads/index.html is the first resource American Studies students should turn to on the Web. Sponsored by the American Studies Association, the Crossroads Project features a huge database of information for the national AMS community, including a full index of American Quarterly articles, a Virtual Library with indexes, abstracts and primary documents, and a variety of links to resources elsewhere on the Internet.

Scholarly Resources in American Studies
The place to begin an exploration of scholarship in American History is American History and Life. This is an extensive database of articles and abstracts for members of the Smith College community. Covering over 400,000 bibliographic entries from over 2,000 scholarly journals, it is a good starting point for important sources and reviews pertaining to all periods of American history.
