Smith Collection
- The Sophia Smith Collection,
located in Alumnae Gym, is a nationally recognized archive of primary
documents pertaining to women's history. Subject strengths include
birth control, women's rights, suffrage, the contemporary women's
movement, and middle-class family life in nineteenth- and twentieth-century
New England. The collection features both audio and visual documents.

- The College Archives documents
the history of Smith College. Located in the Alumnae Gym along with
the Sophia Smith collection, the archive features students' letters,
diaries, course notes, photographs, and memorabilia along with more
official records from the College's past.

is the starting point for books in the five-college area. The site
features extensive links to abstracts, articles, and other references.
- Mortimer
Rare Book Room
- Located on the 3rd floor
of Neilson Library, the Mortimer Rare Book Room contains medieval
manuscripts and printed books from the 15th century to the present
in all subject areas. In particular, the collection is rich in original
editions of 19th- and 20th-century American literature and history,
especially children's literature, early educational materials, etiquette
and advice for women, popular novels, and travel writing by women.
The Mortimer Rare Book Room also houses a small collection of literary
manuscripts by women writers, notably Sylvia Plath and Virginia
Woolf. A complete catalogue for these materials is located in the
MRBR itself.

- The Art Museum features
collections of major American and European art from 2500 B.C.. to
the present. The internationally renowned permanent collection is
supplemented by a variety of visiting exhibits and lectures and
programs sponsored by the Museum.
