The Association for Latin American Art

The Association for Latin American Art is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the study of Latin American art. An affiliated society of the College Art Association, the Association was founded in 1979 to promote the highest standards of scholarship, criticism and teaching of Latin American art. The Association counts among its membership individuals and institutional members from eleven countries. Annual events include a yearly book award for outstanding publications in the field of Latin American Art, a dissertation award, and two sponsored sessions at the College Art Association annual meetings. Members receive our membership directory, a bi-annual newsletter, and membership in our active listserv—all great ways to stay in touch with colleagues and keep up to date on current exhibitions, job opportunities, and recent publications.
