Smith College Advancement participates in tracking the use of the Smith College website. Smith uses IP addresses (random numbers assigned to individual computers) to help diagnose problems with our servers, administer our website, and anonymously track content preferences and traffic patterns.

Personal information stored on Smith's records systems are secured and unavailable to web users with the exception of specific forms used to update addresses and personal information within the secured alumnae directory area.

Use of GiftCalcs (planned gift calculator) involves identification of a domain name and (optional) e-mail address. The college does not use this information for follow-up unless such action is requested by the user.
