Smith seniors, dressed in the traditional white and carrying
red roses, whistled and cheered as reuning alumnae, also
dressed in white, paraded along Chapin Drive, past the
President's house.
As the last member of the Class of 2001 passed by, the
laurel bearers and then the seniors fell in behind and
were themselves cheered heartily by faculty, parents and
friends as they entered the Quad to mark the beginning
of the Ivy Day ceremonies and their passage from students
to alumnae.
