> Alumnae Parade
|
![]() |
| Maintaining a tradition that originated in 1909, alumnae wearing white clothing with sashes in their class colors marched from John M. Greene Hall, past Neilson Library, through the arch to Burton Lawn for the the annual Alumnae Association meeting. Parade marshal Patricia Keating '41, a familiar figure to reuning classes, followed by the also familiar brass band, guided the cheering alumnae carrying large signs with humorous sayings reflecting the events of the years they attended Smith. From alums in their twenties pushing strollers to those in their eighties brandishing their red canes, the parade represented over 60 years of a Smith education. |
