| Early Saturday morning, excited alumnae, dressed in traditional white, donned their class sashes, hats, bags, canes, and balloons and headed for their groups behind John M. Greene Hall in preparation for the annual alumnae parade. Each member of the Class of 1942 carried a red rose, a long overdue gift from Smith, which, because of the war, had been unable to provide roses to the seniors on Ivy Day. |
