The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations
(CFR) helps Smith develop and strengthen mutually
beneficial partnerships with a variety of organizations
that share an interest in advancing education.
These partnerships assist corporations and foundations
in fulfilling their own missions while advancing
the goals of the college. The CFR:
- Seeks opportunities for external grant funding
for institutional priorities from corporations,
foundations, and government agencies
- Develops, implements and strengthens partnerships
between Smith College and the business sector
- Supports faculty seeking grant funding for
research
- Prepares institutional grant applications
- Tracks and reports on grants received
- Communicates Smith’s research and academic
goals and accomplishments
