Important: Since we are fully enrolled, we are not accepting applications for January 2013.

The Transfer Common Application, Common Application Supplement, Teacher Evaluation and College Official's Report can be completed online or downloaded from the Common Application Web site.

Please note: Women who are at least 24 years old (or will turn 24 during their first semester at Smith) or have a dependent other than a spouse or are veterans must apply to Smith through the Ada Comstock Scholars Program.

Required application

Smith College uses the Transfer Common Application exclusively and we strongly recommend that you submit it online. Your application fee of $60 is waived if you apply online.

College transcript(s)

High School transcript with original recommendations to college if still available.

TOEFL or IELTS (for international students instructed in a language other than English). Scores must be sent from testing agency.

College Official's Report

Teacher Evaluation

Mid-term Report

Photocopies of course descriptions for all college courses completed and in progress.

Recommended application materials

For applicants with special training in the arts, you may submit the Common Application Arts Supplement.

Interview, on campus or with a local alumna

Optional application materials

SAT I or ACT (for U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents).

SAT II scores

We accept official scores that are listed on the high school transcript or sent from the testing agency. Scores listed on the Common Application are considered self-reported and will be reviewed by the admission committee.
