From the South: Northampton is on Route I-91 in Massachusetts. Take Exit 18, and follow Route 5 north into the center of town. Turn left at the traffic light onto Route 9.
To event parking: After turning left onto Route 9, go straight through four traffic lights. Shortly after the fourth light, turn left onto College Lane (between the stone pillars). Pass the Office of Admission and bear right when the road forks. Pass the athletic facilities and continue to the stop sign.
Take a left or right onto Route 66 (West Street). To the left you may park in the Indoor Track and Tennis Facility lot immediately on the left. If the lot is full, continue up the street to the Smith parking garage on the right and park in any white lined space. To the right you may park in the stables lots just around the corner on the left. Shuttle service will be available throughout the day between parking areas and Scott Gym.
From the North: From I-91 South, take Exit 20, and follow onto Route 5 south into the center of town. At the intersection of Route 5 and Route 9 (Main Street), turn right onto Route 9. Then follow the same directions as above from Route 9 to campus.
From the East or West via the Massachusetts Turnpike: Northampton is on Route I-91 North (Mass Pike exit 4). Once on I-91, follow the directions above for visitors from the south.
The closest airport is Bradley International, located about 35 miles south of Northampton, in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. Shuttles and rental cars are available at the airport.
Greyhound, Vermont Transit and Peter Pan bus lines serve the area. Most routes go to the main bus terminal in Springfield, where you can catch another bus to Northampton and walk to campus.
