From the South: Northampton is on Route I-91 in Massachusetts. Take Exit 18, and follow Route 5 north into the center of town. Turn left at the traffic light and take Route 9 West.
To event parking: After turning left onto Route 9 West, go straight through one set of lights (Academy of Music is on your left) and take a left at the second set of lights onto Route 66 West (West Street). Follow West Street 1/4 mile to the Smith Parking Garage on your left (42 West Street). If the garage is full continue down West Street to the Indoor Track and Tennis Facility lot on your right just after Belmont Avenue, or, take a right on Lower College Lane and park at Ainsworth Gymnasium (102 Lower College Lane). Shuttle service will be available throughout the program between parking areas and event sites.
From the North: From I-91 South, take Exit 20, and follow onto Route 5 south into the center of town. At the intersection of Route 5 and Route 9 (Main Street) turn right onto Route 9 West then follow the event parking directions above.
From the East or West via the Massachusetts Turnpike: Northampton is on Route I-91 North (Mass Pike exit 4). Once on I-91, follow the directions above for visitors from the south.
The closest airport is Bradley International, located about 35 miles south of Northampton, in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. Shuttles and rental cars are available at the airport.
Greyhound, Vermont Transit and Peter Pan bus lines serve the area. Most routes go to the main bus terminal in Springfield, where you can catch another bus to Northampton and walk to campus.
