APPLY

The Common Application, Common Application Supplement, Secondary School Report, Teacher Evaluation, Homeschool Supplement and Midyear Report can be completed online or downloaded from the Common Application Web site.

If you intend to apply for financial aid, you must do so when you apply for admission and by the published deadlines. International students who do not apply for financial aid by the published deadlines will be ineligible to receive institutional financial aid from the college at any time. Please see the financial aid policy page for details.

Required application

Smith College uses the Common Application exclusively and we strongly recommend that you submit it online. Your application fee of $60 is waived if you apply online.

To download a paper copy, visit the Common Application site or your high school guidance office.

Secondary School Report, including guidance counselor's recommendation and official high school transcript

SAT I, ACT, TOEFL or IELTS scores (as applicable). We accept official scores that are listed on the high school transcript or sent from the testing agency.

Recommended application materials

For applicants with special training in the arts, you may submit the Common Application Arts Supplement.

Copy of parents' most recent income tax returns (translated) or a signed statement of income from each parent's employer
