At the current moment, I am in Madrid, Spain on spring break. Sorry it's been a while since I've written here...I left Florence almost a week ago and met up with my friend, Sam, in Barcelona. It was BEAUTIFUL and the weather was GREAT! I loved it! We hit up all the great spots from Gaudi to the Palau de la Musica Catalana. We wandered around to all hours of the early morning and drank delicious sangria. Then we flew down to Granada and stayed with friends of Sam. We went to the Alhambra in Granada which I must say is probably the most beautiful place I have ever been. The art, details, and history were just mind-blowing. Now we are in Madrid. Sam has school so I will doodle around the city by myself and meet up with him between classes and hopefully my Smith friend, Davida, as well. After this, I fly out to Copenhagen on Thursday to visit my good friend from Smith Tennis, Alanna Dick. I am having a great time despite having to relocate after a nasty hostel experience. I'm not about to catch lice before graduation!
I also have to keep in mind my final papers that I have to turn in after I get back to Florence. Really, I'm not letting it bother me but thought out my general ideas on the 7 hour bus ride from Granada to Madrid.
I really hope all the other Smithies are having a great time on their spring breaks and I really can't wait to exchange stories when we get back! All the best to everyone and I hope Smith College Class of 2013 is getting excited and enjoying your final weeks of high school! |
