Lectures, Home, & Spring break =]

Hello Everyone!!!!

Well it is just about that midpoint in the semester and although I though things were going to get very stressful, things are not as bad as I thought. My classes are really good so I find myself studying for them without noticing because everything is so interesting.
Yesterday we had Professor Ana Mariella Bacigalupo, a professor from SUNY Buffalo and author of "Shamans of the Foye Tree Gender, Power & Healing among the Chilean Mapuche" come give a speech here @ Smith yesterday. I found it so amazing how she has gone to live with the Mapuche in Chile and study the Shaman religion there that they practice.

Apart from all my school work, I have been going home a little more this semester then I did last. I have less exams this semester, and I have been really anxious to go see my nephews.
The last time I went home about 2 weeks ago, I went sledding with my nephew, sister and brother in law for the first time ever. I live in Boston so I grew up with having mountains of snow around me, but never had I gone sledding! It was so much fun, I literally felt like I was 7 yrs old again. It was my nephew's first time, and he enjoyed it way more then all of us did! I thought he was going to be a little scared since he's two, but he was a tough one!
Here are some pictures of us:

Well! Now it's just about having a count down for spring break which is just around the corner =) I will be going to Flordia for a week, so that is very exciting! Although spring is showing over here @ Smith.... I much rather be reading a book on the beach next to a palm tree... hehe
