About Me

Hi,

Feeling a little tired today after staying up all night watching the VP debate. Grateful today was Mountain Day as I had a 9am class, I managed to get in a few extra minutes of shut-eye.

I am an Ada Comstock Scholar and the Ada Recruitment Intern this year for the Admissions Office. I love working in this office as it gives me a chance to be involved with the incoming students this next academic year! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to shoot me an email.

I am originally from New Zealand, and the photos at the top of the page are from my last trip home to visit my family over Christmas Break in 2007. I miss my beautiful country, and of course driving on the correct side of the road! I came to Northampton when I was accepted to Smith two years ago from Chicago (one of the greatest cities in the world - GO WHITE SOX!)

I have had many fantastic opportunities here at Smith. At 32 years old and with a husband, a 13 year old daughter and two cats, I made the varsity squash team last year, and took part in Summer Research working with Professor Peterson and Professor Duncan, while at the same time making friends with two fantastic traditional students. I have been able to take advantage of the Praxis Program interning for Berkshire Children and Families, as well as volunteering for the Parent Aide Program. It was an amazing first two years and I am ready for the next two.
