I'm in my last year at Smith College, and I just returned to the States after a year of studying abroad in Geneva, Switzerland.
Smith was the only school to which I completed a college application, and I applied early decision. After one visit to Smith, I knew this was the place I wanted to be!
Entering Smith, I took the first year seminar course with Dean Laquer on the history of midwifery in North America. Ever since, I have been pursuing my passion for women's healthcare, childbirth, and international birthing cultures.
This year, I am Head Resident of Sessions House, and I am loving the wonderful house community we have at Smith.
I am staying busy, working on plans for post-graduation, and I hope to continue my education after Smith by becoming a midwife or an obstetrician. Smith has provided me with an abundant amount of resources to really be able to search my passions, explore all opportunities and become a more well-rounded and fulfilled college graduate. |
