| | Yesterday and today the temperature finds itself up in the 80s! The sun is shining though, and it's refreshing to have some warm weather after such a chilly transition into spring. The strength of the heat is unsettling, however, as I can't help but think about the repercussions of global warming.
Aside from being hot hot hot, this weekend is also packed full of end-of-year activities. Yesterday evening was the Senior Ball. I did not attend myself, but I saw some of the dolled up seniors attending, and everyone looked genuinely in the mood to be moving closer and closer to graduation day! This evening my house is having its Senior Banquet, a tradition in almost every house on campus. The event will include skits performed by underclass students, eating catered food, senior will reading and general house bonding. I believe this is on of the final all house activities that we have for the year, and then finals are soon upon us!
Today I'll be hunkering down for at least a couple of hours to do homework and catch-up. I might go over to the climbing wall, where a couple of my residents work. I haven't been climbing in a long time, but it might be nice to get in a little physical activity today.
Starting Monday, I will embark on my very last week of classes at Smith College! |
