| | The sun is shining and the breeze is warm on Smith Campus today. This is a perfect day for visiting the campus, and how fortunate that it also happens to be Open Campus and Discovery Weekend!
Sessions House just finished up it's second to last Coffeehouse themed Friday tea, and everyone seems to be in good spirits. Though the semester is winding down, stress levels are winding up, it's still great to chill with friends and housemates for an afternoon talent extravaganza and have great snacks! I love being an audience member at Sessions Coffeehouse, and this week I stepped up and read an excerpt from one of my current "fun" reads, "The Tao of Pooh." I'm on the chapter titled "The Pooh Way," and I read the first couple pages to my housemates in hopes of reminding them that life is no fun with stress, and that it's okay for them to take easy every now and again, and just go with the flow.
So this weekend, I have two prospective students staying with me in my room. Both seem like great girls, and I hope they are enjoying their visit. They are part of Discovery Weekend so they will be here until Sunday morning. My weekend is not particularly eventful, but I have an end-of-the-year celebration for Best Buddies and then later Sunday evening I am hosting a mehndi night in my house. I recently attended an Indian/Pakistani wedding in Chicago, so I have been inspired to watch Monsoon Wedding and do some henna art on my fellow housemates.
I hope the weather stays at least warm this weekend; the rain is welcome, but please - no more cold! |
