| | I'm writing from Seattle, WA, where the sun is actually shining today! I have been here for about a week now, visiting friends and family, and spending some time with my parents. My parents just left yesterday and I will spend the remainder of my week in Seattle visiting schools in the area I am considering for post-graduation. The Seattle Midwifery School has an open house on the 6th, and I've been in contact with the director of admissions. I will also be visiting the University of Washington graduate schools and hopefully I will get a chance to stop in at the medical and nursing school. I spent a summer at UW in a program for undergraduate students interesting in pursuing medicine, and I hope I can go back and visit the faculty who were running this program.
I'm staying with friends all around the city, so I'll also be visiting the sights in the city. It's great being on break, but I'm actually missing my house, my room, my housemates and my friends back at Smith, so I'm also looking forward to returning to the east coast soon. I was actually staying in a bed in breakfast a couple nights ago where I met a fellow Smith alum who's living in Hawaii. The people I'm staying with now have also lived with other Smith alums in Seattle! Such a small world!
I hope everyone is having a great break and celebrated their holidays safely! |
