Please note: Women who are at least 24 years old (or will turn 24 during their first semester at Smith), have a dependent other than a spouse or are veterans must apply to Smith through the Ada Comstock Scholars Program. If this does not apply to you, please consult the transfer or first-year pages for further information.

If you do not apply for aid prior to admission and by the published deadlines, you will not be eligible for college aid until you complete 32 credits at Smith. Please see the financial aid policy page for details.

The Smith College application for admission is available online and as a PDF. Your application fee of $60 is waived if you apply online.

If you would prefer to submit a paper application you may download the PDF and mail it to the Office of Admission along with your application fee.

Required application materials

Part I Application

On campus interview or a telephone interview if distance makes it impossible to visit campus. Please bring unofficial copies of college transcript(s) to the interview. We do not offer telephone interviews for applicants living outside the United States.

Part II Application

Official college transcript(s). Candidates are expected to present at least 32 liberal arts credits.
