Professor Kevin Everod Quashie

Kevin Everod Quashie received his B.A. in English from Florida International University, a M.A. in Higher Education Administration from Bowling Green State University, and a second M.A. and PhD (both in English) from Arizona State University.  He teaches cultural studies and theory and is especially interested in Black culture and feminisms since 1970.  He co-edited the anthology New Bones: Contemporary Black Writers in America, and is author of the book Black Women, Identity, and Cultural Theory: (un) Becoming the Subject.  Currently, he is writing a book on the relationship between quiet and Black culture.  Kevin is also a member of the Women’s Studies Program Committee.
