Smith has a proud tradition of alumnae support for students that dates back to 1887 when Smith clubs were established in Boston and Chicago to raise scholarship funds. Alumnae Admission volunteers today operate within the structure of their local Smith clubs, or, in unclubbed areas, alone, speaking with prospective students and their families, contacting local high schools to establish relations with guidance counselors, attending college fairs and offering prospective students the recommended interview.
Today, the Admission Office
relies upon the volunteer efforts of more than 350 Alumnae
Admission Coordinators all over the world, working with over
1,800 alumnae committee members, to help identify the best
and brightest prospective students for Smith. If you are interested
