Smith’s Botanic Garden, which was recently awarded an arboretum accreditation, is one of 10 renowned public botanic gardens statewide in a new consortium called Mass Botanic Gardens.
Sustainable Smith: the college will preserve in its natural state, forever, nearly 200 acres of hilltop forest land at the Ada and Archibald MacLeish Field Station in nearby West Whately.
